Alex Gordy is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She is an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force with 15 years of military service. She has experience working with young children and adolescents in both academic and emergency settings.
Alex provides individual and couples therapy using evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure-based interventions. Her work focuses on crisis intervention, trauma, postpartum mental health, and major life transitions. She also conducts psychological and cognitive assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Alex is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful and lasting change.
