Get to Know Savannah Coffey
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Old Town Psychology. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), intimacy concerns, communication challenges, and life transitions.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I view challenges through a relational lens, recognizing that our relationships, environments, and experiences deeply influence how we see ourselves and navigate the world. As a military spouse, I have a personal understanding of the unique challenges that come with frequent transitions, changing roles, uncertainty, and building a sense of home and connection through seasons of change.
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that our struggles are not signs that something is wrong with us, but often reflections of the ways we have learned to cope and protect ourselves. Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and others, while developing new ways to respond with greater flexibility and intention.
My work incorporates Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety, and Gottman Method principles for couples therapy. I believe therapy is not about eliminating difficult thoughts or emotions, but about learning how to relate to them differently so they no longer define the choices we make.
I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel both understood and encouraged to grow. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they build stronger relationships, reconnect with their values, and create lives that feel more authentic and meaningful.
