If you or your child has difficulty paying attention, acts impulsively, or has difficulty sitting still, he or she may have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Approximately 6 million children have been diagnosed with ADHD, making it one of the most common childhood disorders. ADHD is also very common among adults, although the symptoms may look different. As many as 8% of adults have been diagnosed with ADHD.
Our ADHD testing provides a comprehensive assessment to determine whether you or your child has ADHD. It can also rule out other explanations for ADHD-like symptoms.
ADHD Testing Fees: $2,800
What to Expect
We strive to make our ADHD assessment both comprehensive and affordable. We take a careful approach, gathering all the necessary information so that you can be confident in the results. We gather data from multiple people, settings, and methods. This includes conducting interviews, completing rating scales, and psychological testing. We also consider developmental, cultural, and contextual factors when interpreting the information.
The ADHD testing process involves these four steps:
We conduct interviews with the client and important people in the client’s life, like parents, partners, or teachers. This gives us in-depth insights from multiple sources. The interviews can be conducted virtually for ease and convenience.
We have the client (and parents in child cases) complete standardized rating scales, which provide important additional information. These rating scales can be completed online and at your convenience.
We administer tests that provide objective information about cognitive abilities. These tests include measures of intelligence, academic performance, and executive functioning.
Once all of the information is gathered, we put the pieces together and provide a comprehensive report of the findings. We’ll schedule a separate appointment with you to go over the results and provide tailored feedback. Whether the assessment results in a diagnosis of ADHD or not, we’ll provide recommendations on how to move forward.
