Dr. KathryN Ziemer, PhD

Kathryn Ziemer is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Clinical Director at Old Town Psychology.

She received her PhD from the University of Maryland and has logged thousands of hours providing therapy to clients at Old Town Psychology, the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the University of Maryland Counseling Center. She has also conducted research at the National Institutes of Mental Health and the Social and Decision Analytics Lab at Virginia Tech.


Dr. Sheeva Mostoufi, PhD

Sheeva Mostoufi is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Training Coordinator at Old Town Psychology. She specializes in treating a range of mental and behavioral health concerns.

She received her PhD from the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program and has experience providing therapy to clients ranging in age from children to older adults in a variety of settings, including private practice, as a clinician on grant funded research studies with the Veteran Affairs Health Care System and in interdisciplinary hospital and medical settings. She also has a background in clinical research with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Jackie Pacella, PsyD

Jackie Pacella is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Assessment Supervisor at Old Town Psychology. She specializes in treating adults struggling with a wide range of mental health concerns. She also conducts psychological assessments, including ADHD.

She received her Psy.D. from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT, and has over 6 years’ experience providing psychological services to an adult population. She completed her Doctoral Internship at the Towson University Counseling Center and her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Georgetown University Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS).

Dr. Aislinn Moss, PSYD


Aislinn Moss is a clinical psychologist at Old Town Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University and completed her doctoral internship at Saint Elizabeths Hospital.

Aislinn’s passion lies in providing supportive, culturally humble, and trauma-informed care to individuals navigating a broad range of experiences. She works from an interpersonal psychodynamic lens, but uses integrative techniques to provide care tailored to a client’s individual needs. She provides couples counseling as well as individual therapy. She also has experience facilitating group therapy, conducting psychological assessments, and providing psychotherapy to adults and adolescents with a broad range of concerns and goals. She aims to work collaboratively with clients to set goals, solve problems, and help them better understand themselves and their social worlds by building insight into their needs and abilities.

 

Dr. Julianna Dubendorff, PSYD

Julianna Dubendorff is a clinical psychologist at Old Town Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University and completed her doctoral internship at the University of Maine Counseling Center.

Julianna has experience treating adults across the lifespan in counseling centers, community mental health, and senior living facilities. She takes an integrative, psychodynamic/relational approach to therapy and collaborates with her clients to develop a supportive environment in which they can identify and achieve their goals. Her clinical work centers around developing the therapeutic relationship and working collaboratively to better understand the client’s interrelated history, relational patterns, and current difficulties.


Dr. Karen Genachowski, PhD

Karen Genachowski is a clinical psychologist at Old Town Psychology. She utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach in therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She also conducts psychological assessments.

Karen received her PhD from the Catholic University of America. She completed her doctoral internship in the Department of Pediatrics at University of Minnesota Medical School with emphasis in child and adolescent mental health and pediatric psychology.


Michael Burrows, MA

Michael Burrows is a Master’s level clinician at Old Town Psychology. He is pursuing his doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Maryland,College Park.

Michael has provided therapy in a variety of settings, including the University of Maryland Counseling Center, Capital Therapy Project (a private practice in Dupont Circle), and the Catholic University of America Counseling Center. Michael also conducts psychological testing with children and adults.


Emily cygrymus, MA

Emily is a Master’s level clinician pursuing her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Emily has experience providing individual and group psychotherapy adults in diverse university counseling center settings, taking an interpersonal and psychodynamic approach to therapy. Additionally, Emily has provided neuropsychological testing with children, adults, and older adults in a private practice setting. Emily’s research interests focus broadly on workplace stress and satisfaction, as well as experiences of stigma in the workplace.


Shannon Exley, MS

Shannon is a Masters Level Clinician pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She is an active-duty officer in the United States Navy.

Shannon has provided cognitive-behavioral therapy and administered psychological testing to children, adolescents, and adults (military and civilian). She has experience providing individual and group therapy– in person and via telehealth– at military hospital settings, university settings, and outpatient behavioral health settings. She recently spent the past year working with trans and gender diverse youth and young adults with neurodivergence. Shannon’s research focuses on using restorative justice methods to inform and optimize transgender healthcare.


 

Ethan Graure, MA

Ethan Graure is a Master’s Level Clinician pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology at The Catholic University of America.

Ethan has experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults within university counseling center and community-based clinic settings. Ethan has also performed psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. His research focuses on suicide prevention, and his current work includes exploring the relationship between emotion regulation and suicidal risk.


Zohaib Jessani, MA

Zohaib Jessani is a Masters Level Clinician pursuing his PhD at The Catholic University of American in Clinical Psychology.

Zohaib has provided evidence-based psychotherapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, and young adults in counseling centers, forensic settings, outpatient mental health clinics, academic medical centers, and inpatient psychiatric settings. His research focuses on the dissemination and implementation of brief, evidence-based treatments for youth with anxiety, mood, and eating disorders.


Mary Tipton, MA

Mary Tipton is a Masters Level Clinician pursuing her doctorate at The Catholic University of American in Clinical Psychology.

Mary has provided evidence-based psychotherapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults in counseling centers, outpatient mental health clinics, and inpatient psychiatric settings. Her research focuses on understanding patient-specific drivers of suicidality and how to effectively manage suicide risk.
