Mary Tipton, MA

I am a Masters level clinician at Old Town Psychology, pursuing my doctorate at The Catholic University of America in Clinical Psychology.

My therapeutic approach involves prioritizing patient-identified goals of treatment while integrating effective psychological interventions. I have training in cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and acceptance and commitment approaches. My goal is to provide a collaborative therapeutic space to work towards joint goals and develop a better understanding of your strengths and challenges. I also have experience conducting psychological testing for all ages for reasons such as differential diagnosis or academic accommodations.

In addition to providing psychological services, I teach undergraduate courses at The Catholic University of America and conduct research on suicide-specific treatments for youth and adults.
