Megan Yockey, MBA

I am a Master’s level clinician at Old Town Psychology and a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). I also earned my Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and client-centered, with an emphasis on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to participate actively in their growth. I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on staying connected to your values and goals even when faced with obstacles or painful emotions. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). In addition, I administer psychological and cognitive testing to children, adolescents, and adults. It is an absolute honor to help clients build skills, overcome obstacles, and move closer to the lives they want to lead.

I have experience working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Selective Mutism, Hoarding Disorders, Depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have worked with diverse populations, ranging from children to older adults and across various cultural identities. Since 2013, I have served as a mental health technician and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Air Force mental health outpatient clinics. In 2022, I was commissioned into the United States Air Force and currently serve as an active-duty officer. I aim to provide care that is both effective and sensitive to the complexities of each person’s experiences.
