Therapist - Adult Focus

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and clinical activities—including individual therapy, couples counseling, psychological assessments, case consultations, didactics, and supervision—while being part of a warm, collegial environment that values professional growth, collaboration, and excellence in care.

Opportunity Details

  • Provide high quality, evidence-based therapy to clients. Having a clinical specialty is not required, but the psychologist is expected to have experience providing therapy for depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transition challenges. All clients are provided by the practice.

  • Work collaboratively and meet regularly with the other members of the practice for team meetings and case consultations.

  • Receive close mentorship and supervision from senior clinical psychologists in the practice.

  • Opportunity to learn new treatment approaches, modalities, and assessments based one individual interests and career aspirations.

  • Opportunity to conduct psychological assessments.

  • Opportunity to write journal articles, blogs, and other publications as well as present at conferences, workshops, and other venues.

Requirements

  • Virginia licensed, or license-eligible Ph.D., Psy.D., LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build accepting, genuine, and empathic therapeutic relationships.

  • Highly collaborative and committed to helping build a unique practice.
