Therapist - Child/Adolescent Focus

Old Town Psychology is looking for a full-time therapist with a passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and expand our child therapy and assessment services while enjoying a dynamic clinical role. You’ll have the chance to provide individual therapy, parent coaching, behavioral evaluations, psychological assessments, peer consultations, supervision, and didactics. Opportunity Details
Provide high quality, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Having a clinical specialty is not required, but therapists with experience treating pediatric anxiety, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD are highly desired. All clients are provided by the practice.
Opportunity to provide parent coaching as well as lead groups for children, adolescents, or parents.
Opportunity to conduct a wide range of psychological assessments, including psychoeducational assessments as well as evaluations for ADHD, autism, and learning disorders.
Work collaboratively and meet regularly with the other members of the practice for team meetings and case consultations.
Receive close mentorship and supervision from senior clinical psychologists in the practice.
Opportunity to learn new treatment approaches, modalities, and assessments based one individual interests and career aspirations.
Opportunity to write journal articles, blogs, and other publications as well as present at conferences, workshops, and other venues.
Requirements
Virginia licensed, or license-eligible Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D, LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and parents.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Ability to build accepting, genuine, and empathic therapeutic relationships.
Highly collaborative and committed to helping build a unique practice.
